David Bettie has been providing LGV training for over 18 years and has a proven
track record of success. We aim to make our courses personal and enjoyable as well as
successful in obtaining your licence.
All Our instructors have many years experience in the transport and training industries.
As of September 2009 the minimum age for doing LGV is reduced to 18 years. At the
same time two extra CPC modules have been added before you can obtain your full
entitlement to drive an HGV. These are as follows:

Multiple choice and hazard perception theory test
Theory test £35.00
Hazard perception £15.00

LGV Case study CPC theory test £30.00

LGV practical driving test 5 days (our usual course) £650.00
DVA test fee £66.00
However, if you are experienced in large vehicles (ie. a bus driver) you may be able to
take our 3 day course, which is £360.00

CPC associated knowledge, off road test
Including DVA TEST FESS £100.00

4 Day training course, including lorry hire for test £550.00
5 Day training course, including lorry hire for test £650.00
DVA test fee £66.00
